Over the past several years, we at ImmersiveAudioAlbum.com have built up a diverse and unparalleled catalog of high-resolution digital downloads in immersive formats such as 5.1 surround sound, Dolby Atmos, and Auro-3D.

As we continue to grow and expand our catalog, we want to hear from you!

That's why we've put together a brand-new survey that puts you at the helm of your next audio adventure. Here's your golden opportunity to pitch in and share which titles you'd love to see featured next on our platform!

If you’re subscribed to a streaming service like Apple Music or Tidal, you may already have noticed that new Dolby Atmos mixes of both modern and vintage music in nearly every genre appear by the dozen on a weekly basis. Notable acts both old and new have embraced the format, from Taylor Swift and The 1975 to Joni Mitchell and The Grateful Dead.

Steven Wilson’s amazing Dolby Atmos mix of The Grateful Dead’s American Beauty (1970) unfortunately remains exclusive to the streaming services, despite fans’ appeals on social media for a Hi-Res physical or downloadable edition

While streaming services offer convenience and access to a vast library of music, they also severely compress the audio to save bandwidth. This results in a notable loss of sonic quality and detail in comparison to the original ADM BWF Dolby Atmos master files.

This is why we so strongly believe in the Dolby TrueHD/Atmos MKV format as the perfect vehicle for immersive music delivery to audiophiles. Downloads are arguably the perfect "middle road" between streaming and Blu-Ray disc, where listeners get to keep a high-quality copy of the music without labels having to spend on authoring and disc replication.

IAA's Dolby TrueHD/Atmos MKV files emulate the Blu-Ray experience, sans the headaches of authoring, manufacturing, and shipping often associated with physical media.

All the major record labels continue to release stereo music as hi-resolution digital downloads via sites like HDTracks or Qobuz, so why not echo the same practice for immersive? Not only does it offer higher-quality audio for listeners - the sonic difference between lossy and lossless presentations of Dolby Atmos is far greater than that of stereo - but it also opens up exciting new opportunities for distribution and revenue, especially for independent acts that are unable to justify the expense of Blu-Ray.

With that in mind, dive into our survey and let us know which streaming-exclusive immersive titles you’d like to see for sale as hi-res downloads on IAA!

Take the survey!
