Janice was also a preacher and an acclaimed Gospel singer, having struck gold with the 1990 song “The Rough Side Of The Mountain.” Smith, who sings and plays guitar on the song, is joined by legendary four-time ACM Steel Guitarist of the Year Mike Johnson (Reba McEntire, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson).
