As the industry-wide rollout of Dolby Atmos music proceeds at a breakneck pace, we at IAA continue to build our online catalog of high-resolution immersive digital downloads. In case you missed them, in the article below we highlight ten exciting new Dolby Atmos music titles recently added to our online shop.

IAA offers immersive digital downloads in the lossless Dolby TrueHD format. While streaming services offer convenience and access to a vast library of music, they also severely compress the audio to save bandwidth. With lossless TrueHD, the inner detail and sonic clarity is much– better preserved for home listeners.

Tkay Maidza - Sweet Justice

Tkay Maidza, the first female rapper signed to 4AD, released her second studio album Sweet Justice in November 2023. The result of a dark night of the soul—and ensuing epiphany—that led to a series of professional and personal reckonings, Sweet Justice isn’t a revenge album, but it does stem from a profound sense of karma. In a traditional sense, it’s a breakup record: about Tkay splitting off from her self-doubt and warped sense of self; the toxic figures that populated the last chapter of her life; and the idea that she should stick to any one lane. Sweet Justice was mixed in Dolby Atmos by Tyler Scott.

Brendan Eder Ensemble - Therapy

In March 2023, Brendan Eder released his third album Therapy: a collection of meditative compositions recorded mostly at a church in Southern California. The self-released album went on to chart at #6 in Billboard's Crossover Classical and was featured in The Guardian's "The Best Albums of 2023 So Far." Following 2021’s Cape Cod Cottage–Eder’s understated-jazz concept album under the guise of Edward Blankman, a retired dentist in the 1970s–Eder drops the alter ego and the drum set to explore more reverberant sounds with his ensemble of woodwinds. The result is a distinctive take on ambient music subtly interwoven with Eder’s affinity for 20th century classical and jazz.

Vennart - The Familiar

Mike Vennart is known for his work with psychedelic hipster-repellers Oceansize and schizo chart-botherers Biffy Clyro. His four albums as ‘Vennart’ are eclectic to the point of distraction–featuring anthemic riffs, slabs of melody, mathy ballads, and complex pop-rock stompers. His latest release, "The Familiar," is a motoring 16-minute trudge of lysergic, propulsive psych-doom. Incorporating the eastern groove of Gong and the primal sludge of Sunn o))) or Godflesh, "The Familiar" is a full stop to something. It’s out of step with itself, much like the world at large. Where Vennart goes from here, he doesn’t yet know. "The Familiar" was mixed in Dolby Atmos by Steven Wilson.
