On June 6, Alma Records releases Crashbox, the seventh album from internationally acclaimed jazz/pop combo Monkey House. The project was formed by Emmy-winning songwriter-producer Don Breithaupt, and really hit its stride with the release of 2012's Headquarters. That's when Breithaupt solidified his core lineup of elite Toronto musicians (guitarist Justin Abedin, bassist Pat Kilbride, and drummer Mark Kelso) and connected with his studio A-team: producer Peter Cardinali and Grammy-winning engineer John 'Beetle' Bailey. "Someplace On Madison," the first single from Crashbox, is presented here in lossless 48-khz/24-bit DolbyTrueHD and 96-khz/24-bit Auro-3D formats.

Monkey House
Monkey House began in 1992 as an outlet for songs Los Angeles-based founder Don Breithaupt thought were “a bit too quirky or jazzy” for the pop and R&B artists he was pitching at the time. An acclaimed debut album and a string of high-performing singles followed, with the band developing solid fanbases in the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan and elsewhere. Monkey House has been an Alma Records artist since 2012’s “Headquarters”. Their 2019 album “Friday” debuted at #1 on the iTunes Jazz chart and #11 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Albums chart.
