The recording sessions for Music From The Stratosphere began in the autumn of 2019 at Alberto Callegari's Elfo Studio and marked the arrival of Giacomo Pezzoni, who replaced Maurizio Caldini on keyboards. Immersed in the bucolic atmosphere of the Piacenza countryside, the five worked intensely on the ready-made material for a few months until the forced stop due to the events of 2020. Inspired by great musicians of the past, the five have embraced the philosophy of a live recording method on the floor with minimal concessions to overdubs. The album is composed of ten tracks that range from blues and American-style rock'roll to beat and folk more reminiscent of the English scene of those years. In the winter between 2024 and 2025, Feet Down Below returned to Sotto il Mare Recording Studio to mix the quadraphonic version of the album on a period accurate mixing board in the facility (M.C.I. 500).
