Back in January 2024, we forecasted two-dozen new immersive releases likely to hit shelves before the year’s end. Thugh some of our predictions ultimately came to pass (such as the deluxe box set of Yes’ Fragile that arrived on June 28), others remain elusive. One thing is for certain: 2024 marked yet another strong showing for immersive music, and the releases show no sign of slowing down as we move into the final quarter of the year.

In the article below, we speculate on thirty(!) upcoming immersive music titles likely to hit shelves before 2024 is out. It’s looking like a great time to be an immersive music fan!

What’s new this time around is that in addition to the 7CD/DVD box set, SuperDeluxeEdition.com is offering an exclusive limited-run Blu-Ray Audio edition containing a Dolby Atmos mix–also from Wilson–to compliment the usual stereo and 5.1 versions.

Like those two predecessors, the new record is intensely personal–melding progressive rock and pop through dreamy moods, epic riffs and angelic harmonies. Coming Up To Consciousness was mixed in both 5.1 surround sound and Dolby Atmos by The Pineapple Thief’s Bruce Soord. Though his 5.1 mix is included on the CD/DVD set from InsideOut Music, the Atmos version sadly remains exclusive to streaming services.
